Apple unveils the new 2nd generation iPod touch

Apple announced the new second generation iPod touch today at their “Let’s Rock” media event in San Francisco. It has an all new look and design and tapered back similar to the iPhone 3G but a tad thinner. It also features external volume control and Nike+ already integrated. The iPhone 2.1 software is already included also. Prices are $229 for the 8GB, $299 for the 16GB, and $399 for the 32GB.

• 3.5-inch display.
• Volume controls.
• Accelerometer.
• 802.11 b/g wireless.
• Built-in speaker.
